This project was a commissioned graphic for an up and coming mountain bike company called Mudd Matters. The goal was to provide the client with a recognisable identity that could be used across a range of applications.
I began by noting the core values of the client’s company, which encompassed the definitive elements to incite leadership and to retain cultural immersion. The helmet was the central pivot point for the image, which I achieved by integrating a strong colour palette with similar techniques used during the Joseph project in Adobe Illustrator. The mountain reflection at the centre of the helmet encapsulates the adventure and the thrill of possibilities that mountain biking advertises. Finally, I added a slightly grainy texture to the background that emphasises the separation of the helmet from its surroundings.
This project was a unique, innovative design for a client who wanted their newly established mountain bike company to stand out in the current competitive market. The inclusion of their specifications created a brand that represents the core aspects of their business model.
